Brings back horrendous memories of getting mugged, though, one day in ’01, around 26th + Broadway, in just such a (deserted) stairwell. Got knocked out for a minute, when I came to, people were just standing, staring, apathetic. My dress was torn apart, but I managed to hang on to my wallet.
The sight of those ceramic tiles gives me the shivers.
Oh I’m sorry to hear that, Diana — I didn’t mean to freak you out! Actually, now that you mention it, it occurs to me that my one NYC mugging experience also occurred in a subway stairwell. But a bit longer ago than that, and fortunately I wasn’t injured. . . .
Wonderful series! Love the reflections in #1 and the stairs & people in all images.
Thanks! I definitely think it’s the interaction with people in motion that keeps these lively. More to come . . .
Great shots..
Thank you!
All stairs but all so different; beautiful! First one my favorite but also love the more decrepit ones!!
Thanks, Adele! Meanwhile it looks like you’ve been to some pretty interesting places lately. . . .
Great series!
Thanks for checking it out!
Fantastic as usual.
