Thanks, Adèle! I’ve been photographing fire hydrants for years — but they still manage to keep me interested. . . .
I was drawn to these images immediately – in our 1st year photography class, we were shooting medium format, getting used to exposure, lighting etc., and had to shoot a fire hydrant, taking precises shots of highlight vs. shadow right down the middle while making sure those middle grays were apparent as well. Now, I love hydrants. Go figure!
